In collaboration with the primary schools in Elverum, Elverum Folkehøyskole once again organized Aktiv for Andre—a simple yet meaningful event that encourages children to be active while supporting a good cause. The concept is straightforward: students walk or run for 60 minutes, enjoy a kiosk set up at each school, and take part in 90 minutes of diverse activities, all led by students from our school. While most funds now go toward projects in Uganda, each school has the freedom to choose where they wish to direct their financial support. Since our school covers all administrative costs, we can proudly say that 100% of the profits from Aktiv for Andre go directly to the Rwenzori Elverum Educational Centre (REEC) in Kasese, Uganda. It was a rewarding experience to be part of something that brings people together through movement, teamwork, and generosity.
